TCEA 2012

Another year at TCEA has come and gone. TCEA stands for Texas Computer Education Association and it offers the largest convention of its kind in the United States. Thousands of educators and exhibitors gather at the Austin Convention Center for a week in February to share their experiences, best products, and best practices. This was my fourth year to attend, and as always, I did not leave disappointed. I attended some great workshops where I learned valuable information I can bring back to my colleagues and students. The best part of the week, though, was the time spent with my hotel roommates: Pam Cranford, Becky Ganong, Cheryl Hawthorne, Emily Richeson, and my sister from Snook ISD, Cindy Gordon. I learned more from these ladies over the course of the six days than all the workshops I attended. I especially appreciate Cheryl Hawthorne navigating the way home so the rest of us could break out our computers and get a great lesson from Emily on iMovie09.

  1. You have documented the conference in excellent fashion! It is one of the best conferences ever for bringing back knowledge to our students and staff. We are fortunate to be able to attend.
